Proud sponsors of Witney's Christmas Light Switch On!

The Blue Boar is proud to be headline sponsor of Witney Town Council's Christmas Light Switch On, both for 2011 and 2012! The town's Christmas festivities are taking place on November 25th, and the occasion also marks the countdown to the reopening of the Blue Boar, scheduled for Thursday 8th December!

Witney's evening of seasonal fun includes the sounds of Bagpipes, Brass Bands, Gospel singers, Elvis and Christmas Choral music, as well a range of charity stalls will also be supported by Father Christmas and two of his Reindeer. A stilt-walking ‘Christmas Tree’ and ‘Fairy’ and a roller-skating Christmas pudding will also be spreading their own festive cheer.

Some of the new Blue Boar team will be there to help switch the lights on along with a famous mystery visitor! You can also visit our stand outside the Blue Boar - we'll be handing out our mouth-watering Christmas menus to tempt you, as well as some competition flyers giving you the chance to win a Luxury Valentine's Stay for Two.

We hope to see you in full on festive spirit in Witney, and look forward to welcoming you through the doors of the Blue Boar in early December.
