We were greeted warmly and showed to our table and left to the menu. The starters on the specials board caught my eye with beetroot falafel and goats cheese, but the star of the show for me was the 12 hour cooked belly pork. With an effortless turn round from the kitchen and attentive waiting staff made for a great experience to complete our day.

Excellent restaurant with a varied and extensive menu. Staff were very efficient.

One year later we have our annual Christmas dinner at the Blue Boar and it’s still excellent. Pork bites yum yum and the Gambas absolutely divine. Steak perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium rare, followed by a yummy banoffee pud. It’s great to return and not be disappointed. Staff friendly, efficient and tentative, even with one chef down they still managed to deliver great food and service. Well done! And the glasses sparkle.

This is a lovely inn to stay at, the rooms feel clean and are neat and well decorated. The food and options are also great here. The staff in general, as well as the food were the highlights, but we also stayed in a room looking over the market square which was lovely to check out on the Saturday morning. Bed was also really cosy!

I have to say the staff were brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful. I mixed up my booking but they sorted a room for us and went out of their way to do so. The room was very nice as was evening meal. Breakfast was menu was one of the best I have had.

Staff were amazing and so friendly. We arrived in a rush with half an hour to get ready and get to a wedding, due to traffic....the staff went above and beyond to get us all checking in and into our room early. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, so many options and as a vegetarian this is usually a struggle but was not an issue at all at the Blue Boar with many veggie options to choose from. Great value for money too as we didn't realise breakfast was including, an extra added bonus. The manager was so lovely and friendly and made is feel so comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the Cotswolds in the future
